Work Experience Placements

Our Green Skills Week campaign is supported by employers from across industries, who are offering young people the chance to gain practical experience in the sector. We’re proud to be working with innovative companies dedicated to green skills development and wider opportunities, including those below.

how our placements work

Our programme of events will run for the duration of Green Skills Week (5th - 9th April) and will consist of Virtual Work Experience placements and Virtual Insight Days with employers from across sectors, focussing on the future opportunities that Green jobs offer.

These placements are run through a simple, safe-guarded portal, giving students access to opportunities, schools an easy way to manage their work experience and employers the chance to diversify their early talent pipelines and meet their social mobility goals.

Impact of placements

99% of young people felt better informed about the world of work and their future options after their placement.

100% of young people said their VWEX or virtual insight day was valuable
